I love (in no particular order):
-Eating vast amounts of Indian Food, and the intense food coma that therefore ensues.
-Snuggling with my girlfriend. Seriously, snuggling isn't always nice with everyone. Some people are just excellent at it.

-Drinking a cold glass of water after brushing my teeth.
-Signs that humanity isn't a fucking plague.
-Waking up naturally early when I don't have to, like when I wake up fully rested at 6am on my day off.
-The relationship I have with my parents. No grudges, no misgivings, just love and support.
-People who respect other people's religious/spiritual beliefs, especially when they're different from their own.

A walk in a nature preserve in the middle of autumn. Birdwatching. A free jazz concert from a famed musician in a genuine jazz club that's been around for decades. Staying up until the middle of the night and not caring about time. Preferably with my girlfriend around. Reading books on non fiction that are entertaining as well as highly informative. The History Channel for the same reason. Attending political events and working with people for social change and people who feel the same way. Bootleg dvd's of classic concerts. Putting entries on Wikipedia. South Park (a weekly must). Thunderstorms (inside preferably). Quiet days in the middle of winter. A nice walk by the boardwalk on the beach after season. Poetry readings. Gothic literature.

-A big bowl of popcorn (that I made myself, in a pan) drenched in butter and sprinkled with salt, with an ice-cold Coke. AKA what I am eating right now.
-Finding one of my favorite albums ever on vinyl for under $10.
-Wonderfully nerdy nonfiction books about language, the sort I can reread over and over and never tire of.
-Watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the god-knows-whath time and still laughing so hard I choke, particularly at the cow-throwing scene. Come to think of it, the Pythons in general.
-Anything and everything to do with Ric Ocasek and Dan Bejar.
-Songs that make me want to get up and dance around the room like a flailing maniac.
-Dark chocolate, particularly when accompanied by Andrulis farmers cheese and Snyder's pretzels.
-Quiz Bowl.
-18th-century period dramas.
-Going for wanders through beautiful natural areas for no reason in particular, and letting my mind drift.
-Tall, slender, well-dressed males with glasses, shaggy haircuts and one earring. (I saw someone who met all those criteria except the glasses in a campus café today. Rawr.)
-Speaking French, and when native speakers compliment me.
-Mellifluous voices of any sort.
-Trains, and the smell of the soap that Amtrak always puts in its trains' restrooms.
-Bands that make good use of the synthesizer.
-Daydreams, great night-dreams, and lucid dreaming.
-Sleeping in.
-The International Phonetic Alphabet.
-Having political debates with people who actually know their stuff.
-Well-written satire.
-Finding good new restaurants and record stores.
-Cats.
-Journalism.
-Allowing myself to succumb to fangirling.
-Arguing with my subconscious.

~

A few more things I'd like to add:

-Hourlong phone conversations with my best friend from home, and laughing hysterically over an old anecdote we've probably discussed a million times before.
-My lovely boyfriend. <3
-The nerdy discussions about language I have with said boyfriend.
-Talking to people in-depth about music in real life. It's still something I'm getting used to since with non-music nerds I only talk about it in the vaguest terms, but when I encounter a fellow music nerd in real life it's wonderful.
-Singing along phonetically to songs in foreign languages I don't know, and trying to form absurd English sentences out of them.
-The sweet and sour chicken, sticky rice and egg rolls that can be found in really good Japanese or Thai (not Chinese) restaurants. Mmmmmm.

~ CarsCat, RYM

-in fact, big cities. I may need ages to know them good enough to find things, but I just couldn't live in a small town
-pretty things (this is kind of vague, I guess)
-the feeling you get when you write an exam you've been afraid of for weeks, you look at it once and realize that it'll be easy
-the history of the 20th century. Most interesting century ever (yet)
-when a part of a book, or movie, or song is so good that you have to play/see/read it again and again
-being over-the-top and melodramatic occasionally, and people who are over-the-top and melodramatic
-the feeling you have when you get home from Dussmann (CDs, books, movies. You want it, they most likely have it)

Yeah. That's it for now.
